Spartan Rescue Inc.’s Crane Rescue training course is a three day (24 hour) course designed for emergency responders, crane riggers, operators and maintenance personnel who are required to perform work on tower cranes. Tower cranes present significant safety issues for operators and riggers who must carry out work on these structures daily. Likewise, the difficulties involved in retrieving an injured or unconscious operator from a tower crane, especially from the jib, are often overlooked. Our experienced Lead Instructors will draw upon their extensive actual rescue experience to streamline Crane Rescue for course members utilizing a safe, functional and efficient approach. Only Spartan Rescue Inc. emphasizes a total response model for Crane Rescue focusing on patient access, patient care and safe patient extrication. Spartan Rescue Lead Instructors will draw from actual field experience to create practical scenarios which will be utilized to challenge members to apply the skills required to successfully complete this course. No more standing around watching one member perform a skill while all other class members watch. We have enough equipment and a proper instructor to student ratio to keep all course members actively learning. This course will focus on working safely on and around the tower crane while focusing on rescues from the mast, the turntable or cab and off of the jib.
